Meadowbrook alumni go on to become scholarship winners, entrepreneurs, performers, student leaders, and varsity athletes at top colleges and universities. As they near the end of their first college semester, we would like to congratulate our most recent group of college freshmen.

After Meadowbrook: Alumni in Athletics
Meadowbrook alumni seek challenges that go beyond academics. Many follow a long tradition of Meadowbrook graduates who excel in athletics.
Some of the Class of 2016 are pursuing continued success in college athletics. A few are on the roster for the Tufts University and Colgate University soccer teams. Others are on the Washington & Lee University football team, the Swarthmore College lacrosse team, and on the Connecticut College basketball team. We wish them nothing but success and are eager to see them in their new uniforms (although we know they will never forget their Meadowbrook blue).
Past alumni have taken to the field, the court, and the rink during their high school and college days. Some have pursued basketball, hockey, and soccer, and several have been awarded All League by The Boston Globe. For instance, Jared Groff ’13 played basketball during his days at Weston, where he was team captain and a 1,000-point scorer. Jared later continued his successful basketball career at Swarthmore College. Karenna Groff ’14 also attended Weston and represented her country for the USA Juniors Soccer Team, winning gold at the 2017 Maccabiah Games in Israel. Karenna continues to excel on the soccer field and in the classroom at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Alumni Go Beyond
Alumni have been awarded full-tuition scholarships to academic institutions across the nation and recognized as National Merit Semifinalists. In secondary school, they received Dean’s awards, won the New York Times Editorial Cartoon Contest, and were named valedictorians. Meadowbrook’s high expectations and rigorous academic programs prepare students to achieve the highest levels of success after graduation.
For the past 90 years, Meadowbrook has been graduating incredible young people who are advancing medical research, starting companies, playing music professionally, doing service work in developing countries, and so much more. We are looking forward to seeing what the Class of 2016 will continue to do!
